Dr Janusz Tanas (MBA, PhD) commenced his career in mechanical and naval architecture engineering. For over 20 years he has served in a number of senior executive positions in various regions of the globe in several industries, including shipping, national television, finance, international development, construction, and medical firms. A diverse range of experience has enabled Janusz to gain deep insight, understanding and respect of various cultures, their dynamics, and development. His business knowledge and ongoing involvement in international business allows for current and in depth knowledge of strategies, investment, and insight into the innovative practices needed to progress, all of which is shared to inspire students in the undergraduate, MBA and MEI programs at Swinburne University of Technology where he is Director of Bachelor of Commerce (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) Program.
Janusz’s PhD in Entrepreneurship involved a detailed analysis of the innovative and entrepreneurial capacity of the post-communist Polish economy. His research and consulting focus is on economic, political and social issues of transitional economies – particularly those of Eastern Europe. He is a graduate of Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship at Swinburne University of Technology. Janusz is a convenor and lecturing Business Strategy, and Corporate Strategy in the MBA Program.
